Bucked Wheel

Featured Replies

after finally getting hold of a tyre for my fiesta i took it down to get fitted today. When the guy tried to balance it he said its slightly bucked but if i put it on the back i wont notice, which is right i can't feel a thing. however, he said that if i leave it too long it will wear the tyre and wheel bearing, is this correct? looking to get it replaced sometime next week but i'm struggling to find a 15 spoke titanium alloy as they seems to be a back order from ford

Yea but he can't actually get them, says In the listing that there's a back order and cannot gaurantee a delivery date, bit silly really if he's selling something he can't get hold of

Oh no, not another one. It would be easier to compile a list of who hasn't got buckled alloys!

Driving with a buckle can't be good for the car though really. It's like driving over a small bump everytime the wheel rotates, not good for the tyres or suspension.

That's what I thought, getting it replaced during the week hopefully so shouldn't do too much damage. Getting beyond a joke the state of the roads, cars only 6 months old and had 2 new alloys due to pot holes and bad weather:-@

This is maybe a bit of a blonde question... but I'll ask it anyway .... if any of my alloys were buckled would I know when I was driving it? My cars going in for a service on Friday and I don't want to get a huge shock!

  • 2 weeks later...

I hit an pot hole about 5 weeks ago now, damaged two of my alloys. Needed two new alloys and tyres, glad i went through the insurance tho, cos now it pulls to the left, ford dont know whats the problem is, the garage have replaced the steering rack but nothing helps, i just want my car back, I'm fed up of driving a KA about! Car is only a year old aswell!
