Bluetooth issue with Sync:

Hi there

I’ve got a Ford Focus Ecoboost, ‘64 plate with Sync system. 

My Bluetooth has recently stopped working with my phone, where it just randomly disconnected and my phone failed to pick up Sync’s Bluetooth again.

i tester with four different phones and they all had the same issue, so it’s not the phone.

contacted ford and they said it’ll likely be a software update that’s needs but need to do a diagnostics check (£120 they quoted) and then if it’s a software update, update the package at between £300-£500!!! 

Its a huge sum of money to pay for Bluetooth, when I can just buy a hands free kit online but would like to get the issue sorted if there’s an alternative way to do it myself?

Has anyone else had this issue and how was it resolved? 

Im assuming it’s not a fuse issue because otherwise the whole radio system wouldn’t work?
