Exactly that, but Jeff Bezos will sell you several for that sort of money.  Pretty sure Halfords do them as well.

edit: Halfords only have mini ones on the website.

    I got the micro fuse tap but it doesn't fit the fuse cable on the dash cam (the dash cam cable is too large).

    I am just fed up with it at this stage so I will return the dashcam.

    The fuse tap is designed to be crimped on the cable. You need to cut the bullet connector off, strip the cable put it in the new blue crimp section and use a crimp tool to secure it. 
     

    Or ask someone with auto electrical knowledge to do it for you. 
     

    Or you need to buy a micro fuse tap with the correct size female bullet connector if you just want to plug it in to the existing connector.

    The date of return on the dashcam expires this Saturday so if I order those items now I won't receive them before then. They may not even resolve my problem. Anyway I can't keep buying items without any guarantee they will fix the problem. I'll be returning the cam. Thanks for the reply however.

    The dashcam can be wired to the OBD2 socket on the car. The one on mine is photographed. It's where the mechanics plug in the diagnostics tool that gives them all the info on the car.
