Ford fire hazards due to leaking battery acid.

Featured Replies

I've been reading about this with Mondeo, S-MAX & Galaxy. In Ireland at least they're on recall.

Has anyone actually had a fire caused by this - or just a prudent caution just in case?

Has anyone actually heard of a fire related to a leaking battery acid issue?! I work for the BBC and am looking into this - just seeing if this has come from someone's individual experience - or, as I mention above - simply a wise recall having spotted a potential concern. I wouldn't use the information from any reply to me without permission.

From this story:

I've not heard of any fires caused by this issue but I do have the recall listed, on my Fordpass app here on the UK, for my Mondeo Vignale.
