Smax clutch issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I'm after some advice or if anyone has experienced a similar problem. Two years ago the DMF went on my smax and was replaced. The bill came to around £1400... anyway 2 years later 20k extra on the car the clutch has gone again. Whilst trying to change gear I simply couldn't get it into any. Pulled over and turned the engine off. Oddly with the ignition off it will go into gear. The clutch pedal isn't stuck down extra. So i tried pumping it and after 40 pumps the car went in gear but upon lifting the clutch there nothing.

I've spoken to the garage that replaced the DMF and they are saying it shouldn't have gone....

Has anyone had a similar experience?
