Shuddering Under Acceleration - 2.0 TDCI 2011 Powershift (automatic)

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just wondering what causes shuddering under acceleration with the S-Max? It happens at any speed, but is worse with speed. It only happens under load, and not when cruising. If you stick to your speed it disappears but if you need to accelerate then it shudders the whole car, albeit, not horribly. I just grew a custom to it thinking it was probably the crappy power shift however I had that rebuilt a month ago for £2250 with a new mechatronic so it can't be that.

So far the following has been done:

1) Gearbox Rebuilt + New mechatronic

2) New Tyres + Balanced + Laser Aligned

3) Brand New Front Brembo Discs/Pads (plus flush)

When I google similar problems, I only get MK1/MK2 Galaxy problems returning on Google. None of these have the same engine/chassis so irrelevant to my problem (those Galaxy's where based on the old VW platform.)

Any ideas? Could it be engine/gearbox mounts?
