I have searched for an answer on here but not quite the question I have.  I have a 2009 Ford focus 1.6, I have installed a dvr front and rear dashcam, if I wish to hardwire the rear camera to the reversing light is it as simple as splicing into the rear light wires.  Assistance appreciated

    Why don't you want the rear dashcam recording all the time? It's best for picking up rear shunts, when you'll either be stationary or moving forward

    I have it recording all the time but  it has a black and red wire attached and I thought maybe hard wiring it to the reversing light as well would give me the night vision and reversing box
