Mk7 Fiesta - Sill Drain Holes?

Featured Replies

Hi, have noticed that my Mk7 Fiesta doesn't appear to have any drain holes in the sills - to allow condensation etc to escape. On all of the other cars which I've owned these have always been situated within the spot-welded flange between the sill and the floor and look like small slots about 2cm long, either 2 or 4 on each side.

The Fiesta does have a row of plastic "bungs" along the length of each sill but as these aren't at the lowest point of that part of the bodywork I wouldn't assume that they're designed to allow water to escape around their edges?

Has anybody else noticed this?

Hello

I too have noticed this. I popped one of the bungs out and poked my finger inside and it came out all oily !.

Unless the sill is at an angle ie the sill at the back of the car is higher than the front vice versa but your right where or how does the water escape.
