Hello

I purchased the above car yesterday.  It had extremely low fuel. This morning when I started the engine, it said engine malfunction. It did this every time I started the engine. It went off on my way to get diesel and then came on again. Once filled the warning light has since stopped. Is it likely this happenEd because the car had so little diesel or could there be a problem? 
 

when initially adjusting the mirrors I would do one side, then once I moved the thing to the other mirror- the one I just moved reset and went back! It did this several times. Was I doing something wrong or have I bought a dud car?
