Excessive Oil Consumption 1.6 Diesel Tourneo

I have a 2015 1.6 Tourneo connect with 36600 miles on the clock. It was serviced at the Ford garage 4 months ago. I checked the oil today and found it had dropped just below minimum. No oil warning lights yet.

I am taking it in on Monday to check for oil leaks BUT might this be normal oil consumption for this engine? I had a Fiat 1.3 diesel for 9 years before this and never put a drop of oil in it between annual services.

Anybody have experience of this engine?
