Unusual Electrical problem

Featured Replies

Hi, recently while driving, the interior light came on. When i checked it later i found that a number of other issues had occurred. Some of the dash lights no longer show(hazard, indicators, full beam) and the handbrake light stays on. Also the front windscreen heater no longer works( my biggest problem) and the central locking no longer locks the car(it will open it) -Only discovered this after stuff went missing from the car!!

Any help appreciated,

I have checked all the fuses, all ok but I don't have a manual to check relays.

Cheers

Have you checked and reseated all the connector blocks to the fuseboard?
Sometimes one can be kicked loose and cause this problem.
Probably worth checking all blocks for possible corrosion as well.

Thanks to Stoney871 and Pragmatix.. It was SOOOOO easy when you know how!!

As suggested the connector block under the glove box in the footwell had a release lever which had been moved(kicked) loose,

two seconds and the errors all corrected!! Seems odd that it is not covered to protect the connectors,,,,

Thanks again,

Stan

Glad to help. [emoji106]
