Multiple different error codes, won't start after shutting off the engine

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is the 6th or 7th time this happens (in a period of 6 months). I drove with my 2013 Diesel Manual Galaxy, stopped at the red light and bunch of instrument cluster lights turned on at the same time (with some sound effects). The first 4-5 times, as far as I remember, shutting the engine off and then turning it on helped. Every warning light/message went away on its own. The last two times, I also had the "no key detected" warning message and couldn't turn on the engine. After first time I evacuated Galaxy to a service where they said that the battery was completely empty, they charged it, tested it and concluded that battery was fine. Computer analysis showed around 50 different types of errors which didn't come back after deleting them and driving. Most of the errors were related to CAN. They couldn't conclude anything from it because diagnosis showed that "everything had gone bad" but it obviously wasn't true. I then drove my car to another service to get second opinion and they concluded the same thing. Many errors that couldn't give them any idea where to start because there were so many errors. It's stupid, I know.

Only thing the first service that sort of specializes in Ford's said that it might be instrument cluster. That explains why no key detected showed up. Why at times, when this happened, Ford increased rpms on its own without speedometer needles moving or me driving with it in first gear and the "gas pedal being heavy" at that.

Does anybody have any idea about this?

Is BCM the instrument cluster/speedometer? Did you solve your issues?
I'm taking mine to a specialized speedometer service tomorrow, so maybe they will be able to help.
