Parking sensor (aftermarket) power supply

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My dearly beloved has a lovely '66 plate Mk7 (I believe) Fiesta and in order to keep lovely,  she has invested in a set of aftermarket parking sensors.

I've almost finished fitting everything but am presented with a bit of a teaser. The kit requires me to connect one wire to an ACC supply. Back in the day that meant connecting up to the back of the ignition switch. I don't believe it's that simple anymore!

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Richard.

You will only need power in them when reversing, otherwise they will sound randomly in traffic jams and at lights etc. Just take the feed from the reverse lamp wiring loom

Have a look on YouTube lots of video’s showing you were to pick up reversing light power supply and wire colour

I rwas convinced I'd responded to this but clearly not, so my apologies for my tardiness. I took the advice and succeeded in getting them working and the worked well. Right up to the ppoint that my dearly beloved threw the car into a ditch!

However the story doesn't end there as we now have another one which will shortly be subject to a query of it's own!

Thanks, albeit a little late!
