Enguine burned out

Hi, my Galaxy's engine (petrol 1.6 turbo 2011) burned out. Apparently, there was a faulty coolant sensor. They never contacted us and the engine burned out.
In the Ford garage they told us that Ford would pay for the replacement of the engine.
This was on the 7th of August. Since then the car has been waiting in their garage in Macclesfield for 104 days and they haven't done anything. 

I am paying insurance, taxes and everything and still have to take public transport having my car parked in their garage. They simply haven't even contacted me!

Has anybody experience about this? Any idea? I am desperate!

Send them a very well worded letter that they have 14 days to respond or you will take it further and also be charging for lose..

The problem is that the people of Macclesfield garage say they can't do anything. Ford has to send them the engine...
How do I contact Ford?

Make the point that you entrusted the car to them at Macclesfeild and so your contract is with them not Ford UK, and it's for them at Macclesfield to manage the situation which may include "managing" Ford UK to progress a speedy delivery, during that time you need them to provide a suitable alternative (courtesy car?) that fits your needs (given it was a Galaxy you can argue against  Ka etc), and it's for them to cover any costs associated with that.

Petrol and Ford sucks. 

I looked into this when the new ULEZ scheme for London came out.
The garage told me Ford petrol engines give problems.

I am glad I didn't spend a penny on them. Their customer service, BTW, sucks as well

Several times. And they have called me several times saying that all they can do is to wait until Ford sends them the new engine.

SO that is my problem. They say they have their hands tied.

They are a company to make business.

You are not good business. So they ignore you.

Yes.

They don't get money from you so they are not in a hurry.

 

Register a complaint with Ford directly.
