Loose Boot

Featured Replies

Ford Focus 2008 1.6 petrol. Whenever I open the boot / hatchback after a few mins it drops, usually with it landing on my back (owch). How do I fix this? ( still having the clink clink grrr underneath. Hoping this will be picked up on MOT in Feb). Any info gratefully appreciated.

Sounds like leaking struts, easily replaced in about 20 minutes.
Bear in mind also that they do tend to be less efficient in colder weather anyway.

yep as Stoney871 says ☺️ Only takes one to lose it's pressure and the boot will drop on yer head/back, in the mean time find a suitable length of wood to keep the boot propped up.
