Mondeo 1.8 tcdi squealing when accelerating

Hi I have recently purchased  a mondeo 1.8 tcdi and it has developed a loud squealing when accelerating  the sound does not appear when idle but as soon as I put my foot down it appears and gets louder any help or ideas what it can be reluctant to take to the garage to get it looked at as it sounds strange and expensive any help

    Sounds like the auxiliary belt is slipping, may be time to change the belt or it  could be the alternator bearings.
