Morning all,

 

Typically this close to christmas and when i need to get to work my car has decided that today is a good day for the doors to play up,

I went out this morning to unlock the car - the remote would not unlock it - my imediate thought was that the battery is dead - however when trying to use the key manually the lock turns, but the car remains locked,

 

I've tried the main key and the spare key with no luck on either,

 

Any suggestions on what might be the problem?  - i've only recently bought it from a garage (Pre-owned), i've had it for two weeks if that :/ 

not sure, but if the deadlocks are on from locking it with the remote, then I am not sure it will unlock with the key in the lock. or do you have to do something specific with the key in the lock (like a certain sequence) ? not sure.

Its worked fine with the remote since i bought it, however this morning - no dice,

 

Guess i best call the RAC out and see what they recommend 😕 

You should be able to unlock deadlocks with the blade but you need to turn the key a bit further than normal with a bit of extra force at the end.  Just be careful not to snap it.
