Two thermostats?

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiesta 2014 ecosport, 29k mileage, automatic.

Last month, the car stalled (which I thought was impossible) was I approached/slowed down for traffic lights. It then again did it the following day when I was accelerating from crawling along to 20mph. No fault lights came on or anything.

took it to ford garage for them to investigate and they didn’t find anything.

last week, same thing... slowing for traffic lights and the car stalled. I took it straight to ford garage so hopefully this time they could see the error and the guy in services, reved the engine for a bit and said yep your car needs a software update.

after 2 days of having it, they found no errors in the investigation and asked to take it on the road. After that they said the engine wasn’t heating up properly so it was a thermostat and flow tube issue.

parts ordered and being fitted for £470 but then waiting for news on when to pick it up and I get a call to say it won’t be ready cos there are two thermostats?

I’ve never known a car to have two? Has anyone else had this issue?

Not aware of this issue but there are 2 thermostats.
