2009 Fiesta Judder

Featured Replies

Hi there!

I have a worsening issue with my 2009 Ford Fiesta Style 1.4 TDCI that maybe one of you guys and girls can help me with? I have owned the car for 4 years now from 53,000 miles, it now has 113,000 miles and ever since I have owned it the car has suffered with a mild judder under acceleration, on longer motorway journeys it has also cut out completely with a big bang followed by an engine malfunction warning light coming on. However the car starts straight back up and runs fine afterwards. I have professionally scanned it many times and years ago I used to get a code for fuel temperature sensor, now I don't get any codes at all. I've noticed the stuttering and brief cutting out becoming alot more frequent now so I feel like it is time to take action before any more damage is done. I have serviced the car every 5,000 miles since I have had it and it gets driven on long journeys to keep it cleaned out so I doubt it is a maintenance issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou
