Mystery button

Featured Replies

I've got a mystery button that's between the left side of my steering wheel, and my radio. Just wondering what it does as I can't see the use for it. Picture is attached.

Thanks

Probably had extra light fitted at some time? Definitely not a ford switch.  Any signs of a beacon previously fitted  on the roof?

Aftermarket spot lights or light bar maybe? As Ian says though, it's not a Ford switch.

Interior light in the back?

That definitely looks like a button for an external flashing light.
Vehicle used for motorway maintenance or suchlike?

Thank you everyone for your input, I think you're right about the button being used for an extra light fitted previously. 👍

What was it , a roof light or light in the back?

There was no sign of a fitting on the roof and there's already a light in the back so I'm a bit lost on where they would have put the light. I'll check the back tomorrow morning when its light so I'll be able to see if there was one previously in there.

You should be able to follow the wires from the switch to somewhere.

Ah that's a good idea, I'll check that out tomorrow and I'll get back to you. Thanks Ian 👍
