Wing mirror adjustment mechanism

Hi, 

Someone damaged my wing mirror (kicked it or hit it) this led to everything popping out even the mirror, hanging on by the heating element threads. Everything else can clip back on, but the mechanism for the adjustment seems to have been pulled, only one of the plastic parts for the motors is in, but the one that isn't isnt damaged just not in the groves so won't move. Is there any way to get this back in, seems to be impossible to push it back in.

I'll update with pictures as it's hard to explain.
