Recommended tyres for 62 plate

Featured Replies

My fiesta has managed to scrap through its mot's 3 years in a row with worn tyres.

Its just passed again with worn tyres and one of the rears has a nail so i'm looking into buying 4 new tyres

I've a deal from formula one auto centres at the minute for £273.64 for 4 x Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 85H 195/55HR15

Only other tyres ive ever bought are dunlop Blu Response's on my old fiesta. I've seen Nexen mentioned a few times

Any recommendations?

3 years on worn tyres?  Sure it's not just advisories on a bit of edgewear?

I've had both the EfficienctGrip Performance and the Dunlop Sport BluResponse on the same Focus.  Have a slight preference for the Dunlop's myself but both decent and both around the same price.

Tyres are such a personal thing you'll get a variety of opinions on them on forums.  I currently have a set of Nexen's courtesy of the previous owner, they're not horrendous but not great either, would stick with one of the above unless the Nexen's were much cheaper.

I've had advisor's on the tyres for 3 years just keep an eye on them started with just the front & now the rear so I think it's time to change them.

Went for the goodyear efficient grip

Best all round tyres I've ever had are Uniroyal Rainsport 3.

This, extremely grippy in the wet and dry, but obviously quite a soft compound, I got about 15k out of them on the front of a front wheel drive Volvo estate putting out about 250 horsepower, great tyres.
