Front nearside central locking not responding

Featured Replies

Hi, wondering if anyone has advice.

Bought DP a second hand Fiesta (58 plate) for christmas as his previous car died.

Anyway all with the running etc is absolutly sound just have one niggling issue. When locking and unlocking with either remote key the nearside door doesn't respond and can only be locked/unlocked from the inside. Both rear doors lock/unlock no issue. Same for the boot.

Can find plenty of advice for when no doors or only drivers open but not for just one unresponsive door.

Open to suggestions. Car is a runner it's just a small frustration and mostly to me as the frequent passenger.

Thanks

Probably the central locking motor inside the door that's failed if the other doors are still working.

Mine worked intermittently but would fail/stay locked with deadlock on which was a serious problem as it could be weeks before it would work again and I could use the passanger side door.
