FORD fiesta MK8 Auto Lock

Featured Replies

Hi

can anybody tell me if it is possible to ENABLE auto lock.

e.g when you start driving the doors auto lock.

have seen some posts and simple YouTube vids where you press the lock/unlock button a couple of times, but this doesn’t seem to work

Thanks

On a MK8 Fiesta and all modern Fords, you need to configure it in the BCM (Body Control Module) and the option to switch it on or off in the IPC (Instrument cluster) if you want to.

MK1.5 Focus and MK3 Mondeos were the only European Fords that you could enable by the lock/unlock x3 procedure

You would need a program like Forscan and an ELM327 switchable cable (minimum) to talk to the modules through the OBD port.

Or, if you know someone who has the set up you could ask/pay them to do it for you

its in the dashboard, you can access it via the steering wheel and/or stalk buttons depending on your car specification

go into the settings and scroll down to security or driver assistance you can turn it on and off
