Stuttering at low revs at slow speed

Featured Replies

Any ideas? I have a Fiesta Flame 1.4 that has just over 63k miles (serviced regularly) on the clock and I've noticed that when I'm in 1st gear at around 1000rpm in slow traffic the car seems to lose all power for a couple of seconds and then the power comes back on for a couple of seconds. When I'm above 1000rpm the car is perfect and feels fine to drive. I don't know why this is happening because I don't further depress the accelorator when the car seems to cut out, I leave my foot where it is on the accelorator and the power comes back.

Replies will be appreciated, many thanks.

Faulty HT lead or Coil pack the most likely culprit.

I'm having the same problem on my 2005 1.4 zetec, around 2000-3000 rpm
