Traffic alerts help

Featured Replies

Hi

I have the sync 3 system, Is there a setting to enable traffic alerts to warn me while I'm driving, I'm not talking about TA via radio. (I thought that just switches to general radio traffic news?)

For example I was driving yesterday and I hit some traffic jams on my commute to work, this traffic jam was displayed on the navigation maps, but I didn't get any warning about it beforehand via the in car speaker.

On my Focus mk 2.5 I occasionally got warnings about closed road/ narrow lanes  when I was approaching the M25, even if I was not intending to drive on the M25 and I didn't even have a route inputted into the nav system.

I'm thinking there must be a setting I have disabled, because surely I should be warned about traffic jams/ incidents  before I get to them without having to look at the map as I'm driving?

Thanks

Try this:

Make sure you've activated your modem and data sharing is turned on, too.
If you're unsure, tap the FordPass Connect tile on your SYNC screen.
Next tap on ‘Connectivity settings’, then turn on ‘Location’ and ‘FordPass Connect Live Traffic’.

Will check but pretty sure thats all on.

I get traffic on my sat nav and have ford pass on my phone so assume modem would be enabled.

Should I enable TA setting in radio? I always thought that was just generic traffic news.
