Foul smell from vents

There seems to be a foul smell that has started to come from the vents. Is this a mould issue or something?

    Check the cabin filter.
    You may need to put an AC cleaning bomb in it to flush the system too, and maybe regas it

    I've had this in the past and the cure involved cleaning out the air con system and re-gassing it.

    Cabin Filter ? when i did mine i sprayed that 99% kill germs Dettol in the housing and around the vents...

    Sons car stunk and cabin filter was ditched and stunk,when it was renewed the smell went.

    +1 : Cabin filter was the culprit for me. 10 minute fix.  Reckon they must be prone to getting damp somehow.

    To be honest I don't think they are changed at service half the time.

    My car is constantly steaming up internally since service.  They apparently changed the cabin filter - could this be he issue?  Could they have installed the filter incorrectly or not at all? 

    Any thoughts?
