WIll powershift be ok for towing?

We are considering swapping an older Vovlo XC90 for a newer 64 plate Ford Galaxy 138BHP Powershift. The car has 25K on and has full ford service history. It will be used for towing a caravan so don't know whether that will put more strain on the PowerShift Box. My worry is hearing issues about the PowerShift box having issues. This one has even had cam belt replaced for some reason. It hasn't had it's gearbox oil changed as of yet.

 

If it hasn't had the oil changed would people stay clear? I think my worry is if gear box goes it's 2K plus to fit where some other auto's can be fixed easier for about 1K.
