Mk8 headlights

Featured Replies

After fitting upgrade bulbs to all our many cars over the last 15 or so years, I have had to admit temporary defeat on our Fiesta.  I've even managed it on a Zafira where I had to access the bulbs through the wheelarch.  One the 3 Mondeo mk4 I had it was according to the handbook similar to the Fiesta with the headlight being removed, but no joy so far on the Fiesta.  The headlight just doesn't want to release.

Be very very carefull when removing the mk8 headlight, so easy to break the headlight bracket at the front.

Yeah, quite a few people have reported broken brackets without them even doing anything.

Oh great. Stupid really as it’s the only way to change a bulb. There’s no way to get your hand behind the dipped beam light with the headlight in place

Go the the dealer and they will fix this there is a TSB for this problem.

I am booked in for a wait job at the dealer on Monday morning for the car to be looked at.

I will report back next week.

The technician showed me how to get the headlights out........  It is scary!!!  Well the Nighbreaker upgrade bulbs are now installed in both the dipped and main beam lights.

First time driving at night on unlit roads. Was very disappointed even with upgrade dipped bulbs. However got home and noticed lights very low even on setting 0. Now wound up a bit, went for a drive round the local lanes and very happy with result.
