Fie.sta Zetec 2010 diesel, 55000 miles, major service + early replacement of timing belt, 2 months ago.  Ran normally until today, then refused to start several times, then started normally. Stopped twice for shopping, third time, again refused to start.  Called out Green Flag, who diagnosed Probable immobiliser problem as the red light in console was flashing.  It finally started, but on the drive home then got the Airbag light showing !  Arrived home, switched off, restarted, Airbag light went out.

Had the car 8 years, till now no probs except new battery 2 years ago.

Any simple solutions come to mind, folks?

    Take a look at the passenger fuse box some times the big plugs shake lose.

    battery - 2 years for a cheaper battery can be all its got with the new smart charge systems
    without a code scan every one is guessing but airbag fault and non start points towards the canbus not getting its messages this would cause a non start as the key data is not being transmitted to the immo systems
