Fiesta (63 plate) USB AUX skipping tracks

Featured Replies

Hi group

My 63 plate Fiesta has a USB AUX socket but the cable was broken. Ford replaced it for me and it now lets me connect my iPhone (X) to the system and plays the tracks, but as soon as I press Skip (either on the steering wheel control or the iPhone itself) it just keeps skipping through all the tracks without even starting them. The 3.5mm input works great but it would be good to be able to use the skip track controls on the steering wheel.

It's the model with "SOUND" on the dash rather than "PHONE" so Bluetooth not an option. I'm having the whole head unit replaced next month but wondered if anyone knows why the USB AUX skips through the tracks? When it plays, the track name appears on the car screen and the iPhone charges so I assume the cable is okay (it's a genuine Ford part installed by Ford!).

Thanks v much
