Cooling Fan Advice Please

Featured Replies

I have only owned my car for two months. Its the 1.5tdci Fiesta Sport Van very happy with it,but today its the first time that i have turned her off and the Cooling Fan was spinning for approx 2 minutes ? I had only driven 8 miles and the water temp was 3 blocks so not even up to the 4 blocks where it normally is on constant driving ? Any ideas all levels correct all pipes evenly hot/warm heater inside works fine and outside temp was 9 degrees.

Could it be the dpf trying to do a regen ?

I think so, my 1.5tdci does that sometimes. It concerns me that a load of unburnt diesel will end up in the sump diluting the oil. Some say if it does this you should give it a thrash round the block.
