Key trouble

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I've got two keys for my Mondeo and let's call key 1 (bad) and key 2 (good), now when I press the bad key nothing happens (new battery installed), when I press the good key it

works fine but when I press the bad after I've pressed the good key that also works but will only work for a short time so I'm scratching my head a little, up until yesterday they both worked fine any help would be much appreciated

Regards Garry.

Try pair both keys to the car again,  personally I take my cars to an experienced auto electrician who has the key reading equipment

As said, try re-programming both keys using the instructions from the owners handbook. Do one key leaving the other one well out of signal distance and then the second with the first one well  out of signal distance, if you programme one key with the second in signal distance you will loose what you did to the first one.
