Side skirts clips or double sided tape?

Hit kerb and broke 3 of the clips on zetec s sideskirt - it's loose at the front. Rather than taking the whole thing of I'm now considered double sided tape on the lip at the top that sits on the door sill bottom - any thoughts if this would work?

    Maybe double sided foam tape 3m or the type that number plates are fixed with,loads on Amazon.Stixall would work to just needs to go off overnight but very strong used it several times bonds hard.

    These came loose on mine and i used double sided 3m white foam tape to put them back happy days works great.
