2020 Price list / 95PS engine.

Featured Replies

Hi, can someone confirm or correct this for me please? On the 2020 price list it seems the 95PS engine in the 2020 fiestas with 16"/17" wheels, so the Trend, Titanium, Titanium X have a much reduced torque figure.

It shows as :

Quote

1.0T EcoBoost 95PS (Start-Stop) Stage 6.2 M6 95 (70) 108

So 95PS, 70KW, 108Nm rather than the 170Nm.

The Active series, and ST series have the normal 170Nm +

But then lower down in the Fuel consumption it shows :

Quote

1.0T EcoBoost 95PS Petrol All series (except Vignale Edition & ST) 95PS (70kW) 170

Just curious if anyone knows which is correct? They even have different 0-62 and 31-62 times on the section with the lower torque.

I know the brochures and price lists are generally full on contradictory, outdated and plain wrong info, but curious about the different figures. Unless I've missed something obvious.

Cheers!

They're forever ****ing this up! I think the lower figure actually relates to the normally aspirated 1.1 which has been in and out of various price lists in 75 or 85ps guises. I'm pretty sure the 170Nm applies to all Ecoboosts of 95 or 125ps.

I thought they'd corrected this in the latest list, but it's still there as you have spotted.

Tbh it really is very confusing all these changes, Ford still haven't updated their configurator to reflect any of these changes.

whats really I'm curious about is why they made a 95ps version while there is still the 100ps version out there ? why they made that 95ps version in the first place , what difference could this make vs the 100ps version ?!!

Probably because the 95 ps version has been tuned to come below the 95g/km CO2 limit in the latest EU emissions standards.

I think the 100ps version is going to be automatic only judging by a document I found on Ford’s website.

Yes, I wondered why they left the auto with the 100ps version - maybe as the auto pushes up the CO2 so much anyway, it wasn't worth homologating the 95ps for the few auto sales?

I think we'll see more changes this year as manufacturers grapple with the new emissions limits - the mild hybrid is due in the Fiesta some time this year after the initial rollout in the Puma.
