hoping someone could shed some light...

Any ideas on this not sure if I’m bugging.
The mpg on my ford fiesta 2018, 1.0 eco boost st line, since puchase from new has been stable, around the 31/34 occasionally going up down by the point .0 on the dial.
Now all of a sudden the mpg has basically shot up and now become very reactivate as in depending on my throttle usage will visibly go up down consecutively 0.1,0.2,0.3.....where as before hardly moved? Currently on 44MPG reading, just found it to be a bit odd. Only been couple days. 

Is this normal, how is everybody else‘s experience with tha mpg on the dial with this model?

    Did you reset the trip counters? Or change the display so it is showing instant mpg?
