Boot carpet

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2018 fiesta titanium, and I need a new load space carpet.. I had a spillage, washed it and now I can't dry it out, it's got all the soundproofing in it and it just won't dry, the car is due to go back and I can't find a replacement anywhere... I need help ASAP

A space heater would dry it out.

Thank you for replys, I  scoured the net and couldn't find one, I also wasn't sure what other model fiestas would fit my car... Thank you very much and milkman I dont have a clue what a space heater is but I will look now. Would either of you know what ford might charge if I can't get it replaced or dried out in time my new car has been at the dealers for a week and I have had to put them off, because of this issue.

Google space heater and you'll see.

I always hang mine on the washing line, they are drip dry and the water just drains out .

This...  Or hang it in the bathroom if the weathers poor or you don't have outdoor space.  Crank the heating up as well.  And use a dehumidifier if you have one.  A few hours of extra heat will be considerably cheaper than replacing the carpet.

Important thing is to let it hang freely though, it'll never dry while it's laid on the floor.

Washed mine last year with a hose pipe & sweeping brush!! Hung it out on the line to drip dry, then stuffed it in the loft, the summer heat up there dried it thoroughly within a few days.

Surprising what you can do with a decent hair drier too! Good for drying footwell mats and seats.

Some of us have no need to own a hairdryer!

Hmmm! Great idea but when it's constantly on and drying something and it trips out never to work again, then the user is now in the bad books with the missus and owes her a new hairdryer, this has happened to me twice now.... I'll never learn....lol

could you get it into a tumble dryer at a launderette, I assume they sometimes have ones which are bigger and heavier duty than a home one.
