Fiesta Mk6 1.6 petrol, worth to make power?

Featured Replies

I was thinking to buying 5dr Fiesta Mk6 1.6 petrol and the engine was same as Zetec S, upgrading from my Fiesta mk6 1.4 petrol (upgrading due engine is too restricted.)

My Question is...

Does it worthy to create increase the horsepower by adding the performance parts? I could use Zetec S only parts to fit it, since both engine is SAME.

You won't really get any power out of a NA engine. Why not get the 1.6 diesel engine zetec s? A remap will add 30hp and with bolt on mods you could reach near 150hp. I have a mk6 fiesta zetec s 1.6 diesel and its decent with the cheap running costs plus torque.

If you haven't bought a car yet, you could just buy a Mk 6 ST which has 150 bhp as standard without having to mess about with modifications? Although if you definitely need 5 doors that or a Zetec S wouldn't work for you.

Or could you possibly stretch to a Mk 7 1.6 petrol which has 25 bhp more than the Mk 6, again without getting involved in modifications?
