Key fob

Featured Replies

Mk8 St lIne since I've owned the car I've always put the key in the compartment in front of the gear lever, do I need to or can I keep the key in my pocket.

I keep mine in my pocket, either jeans or coat, even the mrs hand bag, as long as it can detect the key, you don’t need to keep it in the little compartment, unless someone knows different

I do the same, no problem, except I don't borrow the Mrs's handbag.😀

I use the drinks holder, stops it rattling around

If the key is out of range, your get a message on lcd of the radio.

As long as the key is detected inside the car then that's all you need.
If you forget the key and try to lock the car via the door handle then it will unlock itself to stop you locking yourself out.
My key always stays in my pocket while driving.

Pocket for me.

All you lot with you posh Fiestas!!!  Mine lives in the slot on the side of the steering column!!!

I either keep it in my pocket or in the little space next to the gear stick.

Regardsless of where you keep it, you'l still get the occasional 'Key not detected' error lol.

Always keep my key in my pocket.   Can't leave it in the car then.
