Local garage at Filton area

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just got myself a 2011 Fiesta 1.4 and joined this club. I am looking for a good local garage around Filton area for service and maintenance support.

Thank you for any recommendation.

Javier

A fair few Ford Dealerships charge no more than a good local garage, with Ford Dealerships they'll fit genuine Ford parts, whereas some garages might fit inferior parts.

I would never use a 'non-Ford' garage.   I did years ago and they nearly killed me.   Driving on the M69 I had to brake sharply and the car swerved violently onto the hard shoulder.   I had had new brake discs fitted a week previously and the discs, I later found out, had come from China and were made from sintered metal.   When they were replaced by a Ford garage they were found to be very badly warped.

That's simply a bad garage then.  I don't use a Ford garage, but a garage I can trust to do any job I give them correctly, not all non Ford garages are incompetent, and I've also had bad experiences at Ford garages, so not all Ford garages are good either!

Your not wrong! We got our Fiesta from Matlock Ford, on the 2nd year service they asked if we wanted to have the car fully cleaned from top to bottom, we thought why not and let them loose on it, a couple of hrs later she was gleaming and the interior was spotless, after a couple of weeks had passed the missus decided to hoover out the car and when she took the mats out all the muck had been crammed under the mats! As she took the boot carpet out she noticed even more rubbish on the floor of the boot, so all they'd done is just lift up the mats and brushed the crap off the mats onto the carpet and boot! popped the bonnet up to see the engine had not been touched at all and was covered in a thick layer of dust.

Where I go now which is Warsop Ford now is one of the best in my opinion.

Just out of interest....Matlock Ford are nolonger in business.

I take mine to TrustFord Ashton in Bristol, but there's another up near Cribbs Causeway I think. The one I go to at least do a good job, don't charge the earth and use genuine Ford parts.
