Help re grating noise from behind centre console

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Ford Fiesta Titanium  Mk7 (2009) and there is a noise coming from behind the centre console. I have recorded this on video for people to listen to.

It occurs

  • Irrespective of whether the cars climate control is turned on or off.
  • It also happens without the ignition or engine being on
  • It has occurred as soon as I open the door to the car without even putting the key in the ignition.

Listen to noise here

Any ideas?

Thanks

It’s one of the blend actuators/motor there’s a whole thread on here explaining what the issue is and how to replace them, best thing to do is get your ear close to where the noise is coming from so you can locate which one is at fault, then replace, it’s very straightforward and not very expensive second hand
