MK6 front seat upholstery / slider

Featured Replies

I have a 2004 mk6 fiesta, 5 door.  The mechanical base to the drivers seat has bust, the bar that lifts to release the seat to slide has snapped and it no longer slides forward or backwards and will therefore shortly fail the MOT.  Taking the seat out is easy.  I am considering getting a replacement base from eBay for £40, removing the upholstery (which is in mint condition) from the bust base and reattaching to the new base, then reinstalling the seat.

Anyone done this?  I have no idea how tricky this is, can't find any videos and don't want to start something I can't finish.

Thanks

Not sure about the seat back, but If I remember correctly, the base cushion comes out complete.  You might be able to unhinge the back.

Hi

I have the same problem. Did you manage to sort it out?

Thanks
