Engine Prob?

only started happening recently but when i start the car now and again it will rev up too 1k-15k and just stay there asif almost the accelerate stuck and if i restart the car it still does it until a lil driving... is just the choke or something or what ever it called on a car engine?? i dont get it haha

Choke? And you said you don't like classic fords much ... :lol:

It could be the ICV/VSS, but I thought Ford ironed out those problems in their cars already?

its me first car let me off!!! haha but it does it now and again an linking back to other stuff i know that happens when its cold or something the revs pick up... i dnno

Is it at the same time you have say, lights and heaters on etc? As these items can cause revs to increase when idling - especially when cold.

nope i literally get in the car 1st thing and start it... i tend have the fans off most the time just have me ipod in... i need nip back to ford anyway as someone stole the cover for the bolt on the rear window wiper!!!

its gone and done it again today was revving at above 1k and nothing was on!!
