Fiesta stereo upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Fiesta 2009 Zetec S, and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade my entire radio unit including the screen to the new Sony one with the LCD screen. The one I have now is the red dot matrix one which I don’t really like. Could someone give me any instructions on how to do it and what parts I would need for everything to work?

thanks

Yes it is completely possible, I upgraded my Sony non DAB to Sony DAB and it works a treat, if you want to go down the DAB route then there’s a lot more to it than just swapping the head unit and screen, you also have to fit a whole new DAB aerial wiring loom. First thing for you to do would be to have a look at the back of your head unit to see what connectors you have (there are two types for the 2008-2012) once you know what connectors you have then it will make finding a compatible unit easier.
