Cigarette lighter socket

Featured Replies

I have had this issue for a while now. I am usually quite handy when it comes to car things and have searched everywhere. I have taken the centre console off and have located all of the cigarette lighter wires. They feed into the other main bits of the electrics and are brown and blue.i have a mk7 fiesta gtr and I really need the socket as I have a black box and need to power it. I have also checked the fuses and tried a brand new socket and still no help. I have also used a voltmeter to look for power and there I still nothing 😞 It would be awesome if anyone had a clue what I was going on about and help me. Thanks.

A what?

I take it your cigarette lighter socket isn't working. You never actually said haha. Have you checked the fuse?

Check the fuse, also check that theres no debris in the bottom of the cigarette lighter socket

Yes all the fuses have been double and triple checked with a new cigarette lighter in the socket. I am very stuck for solutions at this point
