Horn going off when battery reconnected

Featured Replies

Hi all, amateur hour over here. Was replacing the steering wheel trim on my fiesta so I could have cruise control. Disconnected battery before taking everything including airbag off and made sure to reconnect the all the connections the same as they were before however after putting the airbag back in and putting trim back together when I reconnected the battery the horn wouldn’t stop going off so I’ve had to disconnect the battery again. No idea what I’ve done wrong if anyone could shed any light on what I should check would be a help. TIA

Sounds like you've jammed/bent the horn connections/springs, you need to take the airbag off again and look to make sure everything looks correct, think theres 3 locating pins & springs, when I changed mine I also cocked up and the horn stayed on.
