Gearchange problem Fiesta 2016 Turbo 1.0

I have problems with gearchange being stiff. Mostly in lower gears. Garage stripped it down and said nothing wrong with the gearbox and can only think it's clutch related - £500 so far !!
They say they can replace the clutch but no guarantee it will cure it. Total cost £1200
So, I could end up a load of money out and still have the problem. Car has done £30,000 miles only.
Any advice gratefully received.

    Does it change smoothly if you double declutch, if so it could be the Syncros on the lower gears.
