Ford Galaxy 2.0 TDCI Auto Wooshing Between Gear Changes from cold?

Featured Replies

This onyl seems to happen when the car is cold. I got this 2nd Hand from a dealer, and want to know if this is normal or not?

From a cold start, if I pull away and accelerate a bit hard, when the auto goes to change gears, the only way to describe it is, the car makes a woosh noise and then changes. Its as though the car is over revving between gear changes. If I dont accelerate hard, then its a normal smooth change, its only under load when it does it. Once the car has warmed up after say 15 minutes of driving, it goes away and gear changing feels as it should do. Car has done 62000 miles now.

Any ideas what could cause this. Is this an early sign the injectors are not good? I'm under warranty for 12 months, only bought the car 2 weeks ago and its bugging me.
