Lumbar Support Repair?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I was sitting in the drivers seat yesterday and leant back a bit too hard and felt the upper lumbar pop. Now the support is less and the dial doesn't really do anything. I know not all driver seats have it.

Has anyone repaired this before and if so can it be fixed or is a new part required. If its a faff I might just buy a a pillow.

Fiesta 2012 1.6 Duratorq

Thanks in advance everyone.

Looking at this image I'd reckon a snapped cord or something came unhooked-

If you look at this listing and go to the item description you'll get some pretty decent pictures.
It's just a sprung frame, bungee hooks, braided wire and a simple plastic screw adjustor all clipped onto the frame.
Unless you've snapped the sprung wire frame (possible) it' could be just the adjuster that needs looking at.
How you get to the adjustor to remove / refit it is another matter.
