ford fiesta 2009 1.TDCI mk7

Featured Replies

Hi me and my godparent own a ford fiesta 2009 mk7 1.6 TDCI and was wondering how easy the diesel filters are to change I have done diesel filters before but never on a mk7 fiesta any help would be most appreciated many thanks

I have done it on 2007 1.6tdci, probably the same. Difficult to bleed after new filter fitted. I messed about for hours, including sucking diesel up a pipe with my mouth and getting diesel in my mouth. And recharging battery as I flattened it. There must be an easier way . Problem is there is no electric pump and no rubber primer bulb to squeeze to pump fuel through . There is just the high pressure pump driven by timing belt. This can’t suck fuel all the way from tank if there is any air in the pipe
